The Imperative for Cost Effectiveness in Multi-domain Operations

The May seminar will explore the value and cost-effectiveness of air power and its ability to promote security and prosperity as two sides of the same coin. The costs include, but are not limited to:

  • Time
  • Workforce, and
  • Budgets
However, the value it provides in terms of its speed, reach, and utility means Australian-based capability can provide the Government with decision-making time and space, international influence, and threat-relevant, survivable, lethal, sustainable options, delivered with the lowest political risk.

The seminar will aim to identify:

  • Cost drivers, assumptions, and constraints relating to time, workforce, and budgets.
  • Cost-per-effect measurement, including the cost of doing nothing.
  • Cost of preparedness.
  • Air Power Core business and its value to the nation.
  • Defence, agency and Industry partnerships.

The draft program will be available shortly.
