Williams Foundation Errol McCormack Lunch with Peter Jennings AO, PSM

Peter is Executive Director of Peter Jennings Strategy Consultants. He is an adjunct fellow with the Institute of Policy Studies and a columnist for the Australian newspaper.

Peter is the co-author with Michael Shoebridge and Marcus Hellyer of the book, No Higher Priority: A blueprint for immediate action on Australia’s defence 2025-2028. (IPA/Australian Scholarly Publishing 2025.)

He was the executive director of the Australian Strategic Policy Institute (ASPI) from 2012 to 2022. He previously worked in senior roles in the Australian Public Service on defence and national security. He was Deputy Secretary for Strategy in the Defence Department (2009-12), Chief of Staff to the Minister for Defence (1996-98) and Senior Adviser for Strategic Policy to the Prime Minister (2002-03).
